Ba-da-ba-ba-ba… we’re Baklavin’ It! This Baklava-inspired Imperial Stout consists of two Balkan-yearning barrel journeys: 49 months in a Thomas H Handy Sazerac Rye Whiskey Barrel and 40 months in a Stagg Jr Bourbon Barrel. To fulfill our loving, Ottoman-influenced homage, we took the results, blended them, and then conditioned on a methodical blend of Pistachios, Almonds, Walnuts, California Avocado Honey, PNG Vanilla Beans, Coconut, Cinnamon, and just a drop of Orange Blossom Water. Deep and viscous black with big complex nuttiness, vanilla, mild spice, and floral hints from the honey and orange blossom. It’s intensely decadent, full and mouth coating with bourbon notes tempering the nuts, vanilla, and spice – a boozier tribute to your favorite Little Arabia bakery treat, with fewer phyllo dough crumbs.
